Nuances Of Arizona Term Life Insurance Quotes

Term life insurance quotes are big business in every state. Term life is the original form of life insurance, and even whole life policies cannot compete with the flexibility and usability of term life plans. Companies offer a host of term life lengths and rates, giving consumers of any age choice in life insurance options. While every state in the Union contains companies that offer term life insurance, each state is also responsible for laying down ground rules which state how those companies can operate. Term life insurance in Arizona has different regulations attached to it than in New York or Ohio, and while most states have similar legislation, it is worth knowing what exactly your home state sets out in terms of rules and regulations.

The state of Arizona, for example, has a number of rules about term life insurance quotes and policies as well as how companies must do business in the state. All of the insurance industries in Arizona are governed under Title 20 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, which sets out both provider and customer obligations. The state also operates a department of insurance, which is responsible for hearing any insurance claim disputes and ensuring that providers in the state are both licensed to sell insurance and are complying with local regulations.

Some nuances of note in term life insurance in Arizona include a 30 day grace period for missed premium payments. This means that a customer has 30 days after missing a premium payment to clear their outstanding balance before the insurance company can cancel their life insurance policy. As well, the state mandates that in the event of a death and successful life insurance claim, the payout for the claim should never take longer than two months. If it does, there is a possibility that the money being held will begin to collect interest, which will be paid to the beneficiaries, but this is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Arizona state law also prohibits an insurance company from disclosing any personal information about a client unless given permission to do so, but also grants companies the power to cancel policies if a client has made a false statement on their application form. The only time this rule does not apply is if it is the age of the customer that has been misrepresented. In this case, the company must re-adjust the policy based on the actual age of the insured, but cannot cancel the policy.

In order to have valid and active term life insurance in Arizona, a customer must ensure that their provider meets the standards set out by Title 20. Any disputes will be settled by the state insurance board.
